Tea Parties with Emmy

I am a mum of three beautiful boys. There isn't much 'girliness' in my house, no pink, no dresses...just matchbox cars and tonka trucks. I love having all boys and wouldn't change it for the world. But, I must admit that a tea party with pink ballet skirts and picnic baskets was a lot of fun!

The weather was lovely the whole day...until I got in the car for our session. The rain was threatening and the sky went from blue to black in an instant. Arriving on location, the rain fell. Luckily it was on and off so we could capture some lovely pictures in the light rain. Hayley, Andrew and Emmy did such a great job.

Jack turns THREE!

Jack is a Dinosaur loving THREE year old! His party was Dinosaur themed with Dinosaur lolly pops, blow up Dinosaurs, Dinosaur birthday cake and lolly bags.

It was a fun morning out at Howard Springs Nature Park. If you haven't been out there, you should! There are turtles and barra and a swimming area for the kids. There are also walking trails that look fantastic and are on my to-do list.

Rainy Days

So trying to start out in photography wasn't the best idea in the wet season. Not just the wet season, but the start of the monsoon. I do love the cold change it brings but most people don't want their picture taken in the rain! So what do you do?

You put on your gumboots, grab an umbrella and go out anyway!

This was so much fun. I was hiding under an umbrella trying to keep up with all the boys running and jumping all over the park.

Baby Lucas

Baby Lucas was in such a hurry to meet his family that he decided to make his dramatic entrance 4 weeks early. At just 12 days old, he was already home and lapping up the attention from his smitten family.

He was incredibly strong and was able to lift his head with such control. Amazing! His lips are also divine!

Ari and Family

This is Ari. I was visiting relatives in Katherine and Ari's mum Sarah was only too happy to let me photograph him. As soon as I arrived I knew why she volunteered his services! He was beyond adorable and a dream to take pictures of.

This was the first time I had taken photos for people I hadn't met yet. Very nerve wracking but I made it through in one piece and with some lovely photos to show for it.

Babywearing Love

This is Karlee and her two boys, Thomas and Jack. I convinced Karlee to let me take some photos and she can't say no to me, haha. She has been great and lets me practice any crazy ideas that I have.

I love all things baby wearing and breastfeeding, it is very close to my heart. It is also really important for Mums to be in front of the camera for once! Hands up all those guilty of taking a million happy snaps of the children, Dad with the kids, even Grandparents...but not of YOU!
